A FREE INTERACTIVE MUSICAL PRESENTATION!

Join Making Movies for a free workshop on Tuesday, January 30 called "AMERI'KANA and Musical Migrations." This interactive musical presentation explores the origins of American music and the cultures it borrows from.

What is ‘American music’ and where does it come from? Enrique Chi, leader of Panamanian band Making Movies shares the thousand year journey of his Panamanian folkloric guitar, the Mejorana, and what it teaches us about our own stories.

The workshop features musical performances, an interactive creative writing activity, and the singular opportunity to hear the traditional Panamanian Mejorana.

Then, be sure to catch Making Movies on Wednesday, January 31 for their free concert at 7:30 PM.

Part of the Bridge Clinic Lift Every Voice Series, this event is free and open to the public.
