PLOW: Artists, Activists and Educators Working With Land
The Grand is pleased to welcome Laura Anderson Barbata to Wausau as part of her Arts For Everyone, Everywhere residency with UW-Madison! Held in the Great Hall on Sunday, March 3, this community conversation is a curated presentation by local and regional artists, activists and knowledge keepers about their work.
Guest Speakers:
- Laura Anderson Barbata
- Guy Reiter – Executive Director, menīkānaehkem -Menominee Rebuilders
- Nasiah Herr – Lead Docent, Laos to America Museum; Client Services Manager, Hmong American Center
- José Ortiz – Visual artist and Hispanic community outreach worker
- Song Khang - co-owner of School Road Farm
Story cloths and other artworks from the nearby Laos to America museum will be on display, and the museum will be offering private tours as part of the event.
