Safe Driving: Choices That Save Lives
Safe Driving: Choices That Save Lives is a powerful educational event for young and new drivers and their families, focused on preventing crashes and saving lives. The program features insight from EMS Division Chief Matthew Tormohlen, Wausau Chief of Police Matt Barnes, and Aspirus Health Trauma Medical Director Dr. Paul Chestovich alongside the important story of Kaytlyn Thomas shared by her parents, Ron and Janelle Thomas, after she was tragically killed by a drunk driver. This program will address distracted and impaired driving, seatbelt use, and defensive driving while highlighting the real-life consequences of unsafe choices behind the wheel. Presented with care, this impactful event encourages awareness, responsibility, and meaningful conversation, equipping attendees with the knowledge and perspective needed to make safer decisions on the road.
